So those of you that have kids know it is hard to make them eat. It is almost time to watch Chrismtas Story again, isn't it?

Stuck, Stuck, Stuck!
You know in A Christmas Story where he sticks his tongue on the pole? Of course you do. I love how he says "Stuck, stuck, stuck!" Each stuck gets more dramatic and high-pitched. Brad and I were in the kitchen on Monday and we heard Elinor making funny noises. We walked into the living room and saw this:
She knocked over my school bag and got the foot of her pajamas stuck. It was so funny to watch her try to pull it out. Her foot wasn't under the case, just the jammers. I love the first one because as soon as she saw the camera she stopped fussing and started smiling for the camera. It was so funny!

Where are all our spoons?
On Monday I did a quick run through of the living room and stairs and this is what I found:
And I know there are more downstairs. And that's after we had just picked up spoons on Saturday.
Is there a 12 step program for spoons?

Our Crazy Babe
That must be some good ravioli!I looked over and noticed she was licking the tray of her high chair. It was so funny! This is the best picture I got (she knows to pose when the camera comes out, so it's hard to get some of those great pictures of her doing things).
Yay! She liked that ravioli. She sometimes would rather starve than let you feed her, so this is what we get frequently.
But even dirty, she sure is cute!
She is really good at hugs and kisses now--it melts our hearts (and the sneaky girl uses it to her advantage--like when she wants what you are eating, she will give you a hug so you bend to her will). My favorite thing she does right now is gives "Pat" hugs and kisses. It's so cute to watch her kiss my belly!

Happy Halloween!
In honor of Halloween, here are some pictures of Elinor from our Trunk or Treat last weekend. She was a very cute fairy. Her costume was a hit!

Miss Independent
Elinor wants to do everything herself. If she can't, she'll throw a little fit. She refuses to eat unless she can feed herself (why don't more foods come on sticks like corn dogs?). And even then it's usually only if she can use a spoon. This is difficult for a barely one-year-old with little fine motor skills.
I tried to feed her a yogurt the other day. She refused. So I put her in her high chair, gave her the spoon, took off her shirt, and let her go at it. Here is the result:(The last one is a little close and bright, but it's a real cute picture of her little teeth.)
She actually ate half of the yogurt all by herself. She saw me pull out the camera and started smiling. When I put it down, she pointed at it and wanted me to take more (which of course I obliged). After a nice bath, we were ready for the next food adventure!

The Good Life
Does it get any better than this? Corn dogs and House on a Saturday afternoon!
By the way, did you notice the double spoon action? Did I mention my daughter is a hoarder of spoons? She is a child of the recession! We find spoons EVERYWHERE and are pretty sure we will continue to find them in the weirdest places. In case you were wondering, she's not a glutton!
